General Accountabilities

  • Manage incoming customer visits and phone inquiries. As well as assist in arranging services for Flowserve personnel and visitors.

  • Responsible for purchasing office and shop supplies as well as coordinate outside vendor services.

  • Support job buying / quoting activities during spikes / vacations.

  • Assist in resolving vendor, delivery, quality and invoices discrepancies.

  • Displays an understanding of pricing and quotations contract review for financial accuracy.

  • Applies understanding of order entry and contract review.

  • Fully capable of interacting with both internal and external customers, setting up new accounts, order maintenance and filing.

  • Applies in depth proficiency to apply credits and perform all aspects of accounts receivable.

  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of invoicing requirements and schedules during the month for all customers.

  • Responsible for data entry including labor reporting and payroll information.

  • Provide support to Manager on requested work tasks and running daily, weekly, monthly reports.

Sales Tools and Techniques Accountabilities

  • Displays basic knowledge of products and services offered to our customers and Alliance partners.

  • Capable of utilizing business systems in order to obtain correct freight pricing, partial billing, and progress billing.

Continuous Improvement / Compliance Accountabilities

  • Actively seeks training to advance skills and knowledge

  • Understands and complies with legal requirements (i.e., SOX, Export compliance, Terms and Conditions, etc.)

  • Participate in all Flowserve CIP activities as assigned. Kaizen events, 6s program, safety audits

Safety Accountabilities

  • Has understanding of regulatory compliance in order to be aware of accident prevention.

  • Actively participates and completes all company sponsored training as scheduled.

  • Demonstrates understanding of MSDS and how to locate them.

  • Capable of identifying PPE and what application it is used for.

  • Assist in training and monitoring other personnel within the workplace to ensure adherence to the established standards.

Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years relevant experience in a fast paced manufacturing or job shop environment is required

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.

  • Professional, clear, articulate speaking skills on the phone and in person.

  • Good writing skills and detail oriented

  • Must project a collaborative, result-oriented approach to completing day to day tasks.

  • Must be able to resolve conflict and deal diplomatically with vendors, managers and customers

  • Possess the ability to project a positive attitude in a fast paced, high pressure environment

  • Ability to stay calm in the face of deadlines and multiple demands.

  • Possess good organizational skills, be able to establish priorities and work with minimal supervision.

  • Manage visitor log with attention to export compliance policies

  • Complete special projects for QA/Safety/Procurement

  • Assist in other Purchasing functions as required
