Assemble valves of all types including the operation or all assembly tools and equipment and performance of all test requirements. (Basic pneumatic tools supplied by Flowserve FCD).
Know and understand all SPP’s and maintenance bulletins that pertain to all valves required to be assembled in this position.
Proper installation of valve accessories; perform testing where capable skills have been developed.
Resolve/trouble shoot issues within assembly
Participate in CIP activities as asked/needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures
Requires a general depth of knowledge of all valve assemblies.
May be required to train other employee’s on valve assemblies and testing.
Willing to learn and move to other assembly areas as asked or needed. Willing to work overtime as required.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to convert one type of measurement into another.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

This position regularly requires exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles and the risk of electrical shock. Typical noise levels for the work environment of this job are loud.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of manufacturing experience
Knowledge of control valves and valve assembly
Know SPP’s and have skills sufficient to understand what is required to build a valve when reading a valve performance sheet.
Have a complete set of hand and pneumatic tools and understand blue prints and schematics.
