Position Description:

This is a highly strategic role charged with supercharging Valve Automation’s parts and service business. This role will be responsible for a highly profitable business area for Valve Automation with tremendous potential. The Aftermarket Manager will be responsible for owning the Valve Automation Aftermarket P&L, and for growing Valve Automation’s parts and service sales, which likely will require a re-design of how Valve Automation approaches parts and service. With a goal of achieving an increase in parts/service sales by 10% in the first year. There is tremendous opportunity to drive the business’ financials/profitability higher through a continued focus on improving parts and service. This role will manage the “Aftermarket initiative” within Valve Automation, which is one of 4 major initiatives we are driving for 2018. Team includes 10+ members from various functions.

Position Location: Lynchburg, VA OR Houston, TX.

Principle Accountabilities:

Includes working with the relevant functions to analyze and implement actions in the following areas:

  • Distributor programs – Revitalize Blue Ribbon Service Program

  • Fast-track processes for orders for the front end to include: Quotes, order entry, and scheduling. Also for the production area to include parts and units.

  • Develop a service strategy for each region of the world, including how we leverage other FLS assets (e.g., QRCs, service personnel, parts manufacturing hubs, etc.)

  • Pricing to include: nuclear parts, analysis of action for high hit rates, expediting fees, fast-track deliveries, discounts to displace replicators or gain new customers

  • Catalog the installed base and develop strategies to pursue incremental aftermarket opportunities with this installed base

  • Sales team efforts to include parts kits, installed base analysis to target opportunities, and targeted replicator actions

  • Explore shipping parts directly from suppliers to customers, helping to reduce inventory and create faster lead times.

  • Proactive stocking of inventory for quick-ships

  • Other Commercial Operations levers to include SPIRs / parts package quotes with OE.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of previous Aftermarket Manager experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Self-starter who is willing to take risks, drive initiatives at a fast pace, juggle multiple efforts at once and can influence without direct authority

  • Previous exposure to Commercial Operations, Sales, and Service backgrounds.

  • Strong analytical skills
