Position Description:

Basic Function:

The Flowserve 2.0 Transformation is organized into Global Workstreams. The Pricing Global Workstream is chartered to drive significant reductions in COGS by rationalizing product lines, and applying Design-to-Value (DtV) principles within individual product lines.

The Pricing Global Workstream Leader is responsible for managing the Pricing Workstream’s pipeline of Initiatives; collaborating within the Transformation Office (TO) on behalf of the Workstream; and engaging with Initiative Owners and key stakeholders to maximize the value delivery of the Commercial Workstream.

Nature and Scope:

  • Responsible for managing the portfolio if projects within the designated global Workstream, with the view to delivering approximately $50M - $100M improvement in Operating Income on a run-rate basis, by end of year 2020

  • Provides leadership for the network of Initiative Owners chartered to execute assigned initiatives within the Workstream portfolio

Serves as an enterprise-minded Flowserve 2.0 Change Leader

  • Leads by example and role-models Flowserve’s values of People, Integrity, Ownership, Safety, Innovation and Excellence

Responsible for managing the pipeline of projects within the Workstream

  • Provides courageous leadership and diligent oversight of Workstream Initiatives to ensure:

  • effective scope definition & control,

  • business case development & approval,

  • planning & execution,

  • resource management,

  • integration with other workstreams & initiatives,

  • risk mitigation,

  • pro-active removal of barriers,

  • value tracking & realization

  • Challenges the status quo by finding opportunities – leave no stone unturned

  • Pushes Initiatives relentlessly forward by supporting, coaching and challenging Initiative Owners and other stakeholders

  • Drives the Transformation process day to day

  • Is results-driven, non-bureaucratic and removes time-wasting tasks

  • Is the focal point for Initiative Owners within the Workstream

  • Holds self and others accountable for committed actions during and outside TO meetings

  • Ability to critically review and improve initiatives – pushing to accelerate dates and capture full value

Collaborates within the Transformation Office on behalf of the Workstream

  • Prepares materials for weekly TO meetings

  • Acts as the communications point between Initiative Owners and the TO

  • Collates the team’s content requiring Steering Committee decisions/updates to achieve required decisions and next steps

Key interactions

  • Attends weekly Workstream TO meetings with Initiative Owners and Workstream Sponsor

  • Regular working sessions with Initiative Owners, TO Finance Director and Workstream Sponsor as needed

  • Regular (multiple times weekly) “stand up” meetings with Initiative Owners to drive progress and surface issues, coaches Initiative Owners

  • Resolves issues & roadblocks or escalates them to the Workstream Sponsor or CTO for resolution
