Position Description:

Job Summary

The Flowserve Pumps Division (FPD) Quality Director is directly responsible for quality leadership and management of all organizational aspects in support of product platform operational quality performance internally and externally. This includes Quality operating systems, organizational cadence, enterprise QMS process standardization, proactive product life cycle support, customer issue investigations and compliance to internal and external regulatory requirements for this $1.6Bn platform.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive business philosophies, perspectives, imperatives, and leadership expectations to enable company and culture transformation.

  • Understand and execute Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in a manner that results in sales and profitability growth at or above the agreed budget expectations.

  • Standardize Quality Performance Reporting

  • Align Quality to Balanced Score Card

  • Standardize performance accountability across the Platform Quality Organization

  • Establish and reinforce a distinct, enterprise-wide QA/QC functional organization

  • Support Quality Manager development program

  • Improve Flowserve Platform's quality performance through lifecycle management of quality and engineering product requirements

  • Optimize QC product oversight requirements through Support of Engineering identification of Critical Dimensions and Features

  • Continue support Platform footprint changes to ensure seamless quality for our customers

  • Drive talent excellence by attracting, motivating, aligning, developing, and retaining the talent required for industry leading quality management

  • Provide business insight and make recommendations based on observations

  • Key Business Interfaces – President of Flowserve Pump Division (FPD), Vice Presidents, Directors/GMs, and Plant Managers of manufacturing facilities across the world

  • Key customer and supplier interfaces – This Director and its team interacts with CEOs, Sr. VPs and Directors of many Fortune 500 companies across the world, including Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPCs) – and thousands of suppliers.

  • Support Flowserve Transformation Office quality initiatives: Support supply chain quality improvements utilizing ISO Quest; Implement incoming part measurement and transition strategy; Support the replacement and Improve Corrective Action Reporting Process

Position Requirements:

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years experience in a similar role for a global company

  • Experience with manufacturing companies; pumps experience not required but preferred

  • Experience driving quality within multiple manufacturing facilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and quickly change course as required by company or market forces

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

  • Ability to travel up to 50% including international travel

  • Location: Dallas preferred but can be based anywhere in the US
