Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM) 4 Day, 10-hour shift, Monday - Thursday
Sign on bonus of $5000.00
This position will also include a 5% shift differential.

The products of the company include pumps, valves, mechanical seals and related services. The markets served include petroleum, power (nuclear & fossil), chemical processing and other general industry services where the movement and control of fluids are critical. Customers are both in the public and private sectors. Flowserve is responsible for sales, engineering, manufacturing, assembly and testing of centrifugal pumps and pump packages to mainly the petrochemical and chemical industry. Flowserve is looking for an experienced, skilled CNC machinist to operate a Mazak VCU400 mill and HAAS lathes and mills to machine stainless steel parts and components used in the assembly of close tolerance mechanical seals. The machinist will verify the quality of finished work with precision measurement tools. We work as a team, and the machinist will collaborate with engineers, CNC programmers, and other machinists to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions. This is second shift job, 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday through Thursday.
Set up jobs and operate CNC mills and lathes
Inspect first articles, and verify the quality of the finished work of machinists by using precision measurement tools and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of specifications and quality workmanship.
Meet production goals relating to efficiency, schedules, and scrap/rework.
Clean and maintain machines and tools, and keep an organized workspace.
Actively participate in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the CNC equipment.
Record accurate, timely data on computer-based systems.
Know all cell flow concepts and put them into practice. Apply an understanding of the process flow of documents, materials, and parts through the manufacturing process.
Work closely with other machinists to discuss and solve problems relating to repairs and equipment. Collaborate with inventory workers and engineers to status and discuss work-in-progress.
Displays a basic mechanical aptitude. Familiar with equipment function and servicing requirements. Able to perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
Display basic understanding of the process flow of parts through the manufacturing process.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of data entry systems and processes.
Capable of reading prints and drawings.
Displays a basic understanding of the QRC Scorecard.
Ensures that individual performance supports the QRC’s efforts at maintaining performance standards in the areas of safety, cost of scrap/rework, on time performance, direct labor hours, manufacturing $/Hr and overtime $/day.
Be familiar with shop order documentation QC requirements, manufacturing processes and packaging standards.
Apply same to jobs and staying updated in these disciplines is required.
Use, refer to and understand engineering prints and quality procedures in their entirety and applying same to job.

Fully understand and implements all data entry systems and processes. Thorough understanding of all tools, techniques and procedures required to accomplish daily tasks with minimal supervision. Capable of gaining access to drawings on Flowserve data systems.
Capable of performing established standards with minimal training and supervision
Able to use basic gauging such as calipers and micrometers.
Report to work punctually, as scheduled.
Report any absence to your immediate supervisor or team lead prior to, or immediately after the start of the workday

Esprit programming knowledge being a plus
Demonstrated competency in inspection/self-inspection techniques
May require company travel less than 5%
Previous experience operating manual engine lathes and milling machines preferred.
The job incumbent is to be self-motivated and know who can provide technical support when needed.They must be able to work well on a team for project work.
High school diploma or GED.Technical training is preferred.Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
2 - 5 years CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
Must have the ability to use basic gauging such as calipers and micrometers
May require company travel less than 5%
